Open MRI Do confined spaces make you nervous?

If so, you’re not alone. Many people suffer from the effects of claustrophobia. In some cases, it is important to have a closed—or conventional—MRI. Please consult with your physician to see which MRI is appropriate for you.

The South Shores Imaging Center also offers a variety of other radiology services.

In addition to the open MRIs, South Shores also offers—

Routine diagnostic X–rays, including barium studies and intravenous pylograms;
CT scans
Screening mammograms
High field MRI
Dexa bone density
Blood drawing

South Shores Imaging Center, located at 1689 S. Franklin St., provides diagnostic imaging services from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Services provided by Decatur Radiology Physicians Service Corp: Jon Locke, MD, Medical Director.
