Work-related Injury Treatment and Management
Our physicians and clinical staff provide emergency medical care to patients suffering from work-related injuries and illness. When necessary, the physician makes the appropriate referral to a specialist. If the employee is injured outside of our office hours, which are Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., the patient should be taken to:
Doctor's Family Practice
Monday - Friday between 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday between 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

After hours when DMH Corporate Health and Doctor's Family Practice is closed, the patient should be taken to Decatur Memorial Hospital's Emergency Care Center, with follow-up care at DMH Corporate Health.

The cost of an injury is naturally dependent on its severity and the amount of time spent with the physician. Expenses incurred may include, but are not limited to, x-rays, physical therapy, sutures and dressings, prescription medication and office visits. While some physical therapy is conducted at DMH Corporate Health, patients requiring more extensive therapy or a work hardening program will be referred to the SHORE facility, operated adjacent to DMH Corporate Health.
Our physicians work closely with company management and outside health providers to ensure an employee's timely return to active work duty.
